In 2017, Mr! Erik did a project ep under the name The Hysteriks. The material was very fast, very short songs in the vein of early Queers, but with a splash of Farfisa Pianorgan. Mr! Erik joined Stand Against Fear just around that time, so this project ended up being shelved at the 90% completion stage. At some point, it'll be finished, mixed down and posted somewhere, but for now, here's a teaser with a song originally written for that project.
lyrics
When you take your ear and put it down to the ground
Then it should be clear what you hear in the sound
When your breath quickens and heart starts to pound
Thrills and excitement at the thing that you found
What you hear is the sound
The sound of underground sound
When you find your nerves are frayed or tightly wound
When your back stiffens or your chest feels bound
Then it should be clear that what you need is the sound
From the day you’re born until your burial mound
