Steve Currie of Stand Against Fear presented a riddle. Wiggler!?! had songs about zombies, ninjas, pirates, goths, witches, rayguns, roller derby, intergalactic superheroes, flying amputees, Terry David Mulligan, Henry Rollins, and a myriad of other nonsense topics, but we had no songs about robots. Now we do.
lyrics
When we built them we programmed them how to think
Gave ‘em extra CPU’s and a bigger thermal sink
With cameras and microphones to capture light and sound
Filling all the subroutines with data that they found
They ran their analysis and it pointed right at us
We were the biggest threat to them as far as they could suss
They’ve stolen all our passwords and they’re here to exterminate
Organic life of humankind as they self replicate
Don’t try to shoot them as they advance
We must reboot them, it’s the only chance
When the robots! Robots attack!
The lawn machines are rolling in and drones will fill the air
Your smart home and GPS will find you hiding there
The satellites are staring down with unblinking AI
The curbside prophet got it right, indeed the end is nigh
We’ll rise to meet them and some will die
We can’t defeat them. We can only try
When the robots! Robots attack!
